conversations

Don't you just hate it when you have to create conversation with people you're not that close to? You talk about serious stuff, *yawnz* what a bore.

Take CNY for example, you meet relatives who you seldom meet, some of which you only see once a year. And of course, there's the "happy new year" and the hand-shakes. After everyone settles down, there is the, "are you studying or graduated", "where you studying at", "what course" and "when do you graduate". And as if one round of that is not enough, a few relatives will actually take turn to ask you. So after a while, you just throw out a whole string of answers before they even complete their first question. *laughs* just kidding.

Then, recently there's the over-rated valentines day. Restaurants have costly set meals for couples. The ala-carte menu is gone for a day, meaning you can't satisfy your cravings. If you were having one that is. Then there is the way-overpriced flowers. A miserable stalk in that cellophane plastic cover for what..eight bucks?! My goodness.

Anyway, back to my point. Before valentines day, people will ask what are you doing on that day itself, what are you going to buy and after that day, it's what did you get, where did you go. Well, you get the idea. For me, i didn't go anywhere and didn't get anything so stop asking. I mean, i'm fine with not getting anything and not going anywhere. I chose not to go out anyway.

I think i'm kinda going out of point. So let's just end here.
